Entergy and Cleco customers received some good news Wednesday from the Louisiana Public Service Commission.
The PSC said Cleco customers can expect a one-time rebate of about $12 on their September bill. Entergy customers will be getting a rebate in 2013.
Commissioner Lambert Boissiere said refunds and lower natural gas prices help keep the bills low.
"Even though none of us like to pay utility bills, it's always good news to find out our bills are being held low by payments and refunds that we are receiving from the companies," said Boissiere.
Louisiana ranks No. 19 in the nation in the rate of return for utilities.
