BIRMINGHAM, AL -Grambling is a landslide pick to defend its SWAC Western Division title and Alabama State is favored in the East at the 2012 SWAC Media Day in Birmingham.

Southern is predicted to finish fourth in the five-team West, with just three Jaguars on the All-SWAC preseason team.

None of Stump Mitchell's Jags made the first team, while tight end Mike Berry, tackle Chris Browne and defensive back Virgil Williams were all named to the second team.

The league's coaches, sports information directors and selected media voted on the teams and the poll.
