Authorities want the public to be on the lookout for a convicted sex offender and call them if he is spotted.
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office said Robert Porter III, 27, of Hammond is wanted for failing to register as a sex offender.
Documents show he was convicted in Nov. 2006 of crime against nature.
He served his time at the Avoyelles Parish Correctional Center, which is near Alexandria.
He was released in Feb. 2011.
