The governor is trimming the fat on the state budget

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Governor Bobby Jindal has issued a partial hiring freeze on executive branch agencies to save $13 million dollars from the state's fund.

The hiring freeze covers the 2012-13 fiscal year that just started July 1st.

The move is similar to what Governor Jindal has done in prior fiscal years, trying to control state government costs.
