BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The East Baton Rouge City-Parish Planning Commission announced the launch of an updated property finder website Wednesday.
The new "eBRmap" can be accessed at http://ebrmap.brgov.com/ebrgis/.
According to a news release from the Planning Commission, eBRmap "represents a major enhancement with improved performance and search capabilities."
The new site allows users to search property records by street address, subdivision, business name and other criteria.
Users can also add various layers to the map, including land use, zoning, environment, economic development and demographics. Maps can be color-coded with various data sets and include aerial photography.
Developers say the new site incorporates information contained in the Historic Land Development website and unites it with the newly branded eBRmap.
To keep the site current, the Planning Commission says eBRmap will be refreshed and updated on a weekly basis. Plans call for the City-Parish's old Internet Property Finder to be available on a transitional basis until Sept. 28, when it will be replaced permanently by eBRmap.
