BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
A statue in a neighborhood in Baton Rouge has people buzzing. The statue is a resemblance of Mother Mary holding Jesus, but some believe the statue is bleeding.
Thursday, Hoa Doan's husband was cutting the grass when he noticed something on the statue's face. "Finally he looked up and saw that kind of like blood," says neighbor Kim Pham. "It dripped, not dry." Pham got a phone call Thursday night from Doan. Doan told her to come over immediately.
The statue is in the 1000 block of Broadmoore Avenue in Baton Rouge.
"She called everybody," explained Pham. "So everybody come over and we pray all night last night. All night."
Hoa Doan says it's the real deal she believes it's a sign from above. Doan was the first one to see the statue. "I saw it with my own eyes."
There is no known reason for what appeared to be blood streaming down her face. Things just happen said one observer. Doan says everybody is welcome to come over to her house and pray.
