Baton Rouge Police say two men have been killed in two separate late night shootings.
The first shooting took place just after 9:00 pm. Police responded to reports of shots fired in the area around Mohican and Prescott Road. When they arrived on the scene they found the body of 37-year-old Columbus Milligan III. There is no known motive for the shooting.
A second shooting happened just before 2:30 am Saturday morning. Officers were dispatched to the 4500 block of Rabey Street after reports of gunshots fired in that area. After arriving on the scene they were told that a man had been shot and he left the area in a vehicle. Officers were later told that the car was on Perkins Road and S. Acadian Thwy. When they located the car they found 18-year-old Jordan Key fatally shot and another man who had suffered a non-life threatening gunshot injury. There is no known motive for this shooting.
These shootings are still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP.
