"The Brow" is coming to "The Big Easy," which wasn't quite a big surprise to the many Hornets fans in the area.
The New Orleans Hornets have selected Anthony Davis with the top overall pick in Thursday night's NBA draft.
Davis, the freshman big man from Kentucky, is bringing his defensive prowess to the Hornets along with numerous hardware such as National Player of the Year and defensive player of the year. Davis also brings a championship ring to the Hornets as well having won the National Championship with the Wildcats in his only year at Kentucky.
The 6-foot-11 big man averaged 14.2 points per game, 10.4 rebounds per game, and 4.7 blocks per game in his lone season at Kentucky. Davis set the freshman record for blocks in a season with 186.
The Hornets hope that 19-year-old Davis' defensive game can transition to the pros and help be the center piece for the franchise for years to come.
The Hornets also hold the No. 10 pick in the Draft as well.
