BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - It is a big day for East Baton Rouge Parish schools, as Dr. Bernard Taylor officially takes over as superintendent.
Taylor has had some time to settle into Baton Rouge and has already been working with parents and students.
You'll recall it was a unanimous vote by the school board back in March to pick Taylor.
He comes to EBR from Grand Rapids, Michigan, a district of over 19,000 students.
However, East Baton Rouge Parish has over 43,000 students.
