Ingredients:
Salad:
1/2 to 1 head Chinese Cabbage (finely shredded)
1 medium onion (finely sliced)
1 can chow mein noodles
Optional: Toasted almonds, sesame seeds and/or sunflower seeds
Dressing:
1/8 cup sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup vegetable
1 Tablespoon sesame oil
1 Tablespoon soy sauce
pepper to taste
Directions:
Mix together cabbage and onion
Whisk together ingredients for dressing or blend in blender or food processor until smooth
Pour dressing over salad mix
Top with chow mein noodles before serving (these can be toasted with butter on top of the stove)
Optional: you can also top with slivered almonds, sesame seeds and/or sunflower seeds
