Missouri Forces Game Three with LSU at Softball Super Regional

LSU senior pitcher Brittany Mack threw 202 pitches and struck out 17 batters in a heroic 12 innings of work, but four Lady Tigers errors led to five unearned runs as No.9 seed Missouri avoided elimination winning Game 2 of their NCAA Softball Super Regional 5-1 on Sunday. Tammy Wray's throwing error with the bases loaded in the top of the 12th allowed Missouri to score three runs, breaking a 1-1 tie. Chelsea Thomas earned the pitching victory in front of a home crowd, pitching eleven innings with no earned runs. A deciding Game 3 will start at approximately 6:45pm in Columbia, where this afternoon's game made history as the longest in NCAA Softball Super Regional history.
