Source: NOLA.comNEW ORLEANS (AP) - Saints general manager Mickey Loomis says he isn't taking any of Drew Brees' recent complaints about slow contract negotiations personally.
Loomis says the star quarterback's next contract is going to have a significant effect on the team for a long time, so it has to be right for the Saints as well as Brees.
Loomis spoke while attending a Saints Hall of Fame event Friday at which former running back Deuce McAllister and club owner Tom Benson were introduced as 2012 inductees.
Brees said earlier this week he is frustrated by a lack of communication and lack of urgency to reach a deal.
Loomis says he loves Brees as much as any fan and says no one wants the QB signed more than he does.
