BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A hearing scheduled for Thursday morning in the simple battery case of former LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson has been delayed.
The new date will be announced later in the day.
Jefferson is currently training with the Tampa Bay Bucs and was not expected to be present for the hearing.
Attorney Lance Unglesby has said he hopes the district attorney's office dismisses the criminal charges now that a civil suit has been filed.
Four men who say they were injured in a fight outside Shady's Bar filed a civil lawsuit Monday.
The lawsuit filed Monday claims Jefferson and junior linebacker Josh Johns caused injures to the men during the fight in August.
Shady's Bar is also named in the suit.
The men are seeking payment for medical expenses, lost wages and pain and suffering.
