Victim of hair-pulling incident sentenced

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A woman who was pulled by her hair by a police officer after a motorcycle crash was sentenced in connection with the incident.

Melinda Morris had pled no contest to interfering with a police officer who was investigating the wreck.

A judge sentenced her to three months probation and a $100 fine.

Video shot by an LSU graduate student shows Morris being pulled by her hair out of a ditch by Sgt. Robert Schilling.

Schilling was later suspended for 15 days without pay.
