Tigers edge Lions to start five-game homestand, 4-3

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - LSU's Tyler Moore capped a third inning rally with two RBI, and four pitchers held Southeastern in check most of the evening as the No.3 Tigers downed SLU 4-3 Wednesday night at Alex Box Stadium.

SLU (28-14) jumped in front of LSU starter Joe Broussard with a single run in the top of the first, but the Tigers erased the lead quickly with four runs of their own in the bottom of the third.

SEC hitting leader Raph Rhymes contributed a sacrifice fly, and Moore followed with a 2-out 2-run single to give LSU (33-9) the lead for good. Broussard and six relievers struck out 13 Lions in the victory.
