BROOKLYN, OH (WOIO) -

The Brooklyn Cracker Barrel reopened for the first time on Tuesday morning since a deadly shooting nearly two weeks ago.

Kevin Allen shot and killed his wife, Katherina, and 10-year old daughter, Kerri, on April 12. It was the little girl's 10th birthday.

Allen also shot his daughter Kayla. The 10-year-old is listed in serious condition at Metro.

After the shooting, Allen went to exit the restaurant and was approached by officers. He was order to drop his weapon but ignored commands. Officers shot Allen multiple times. He died on scene.

Kevin and Katherina were having marital issues. He apparently snapped when Katherina said she was leaving him.

Customers on Tuesday, many of them regulars, were glad to come back to the restaurant.

"I come here three or four times a week. I was here 20 minutes before the incident," said Cracker Barrel regular Sonny Kubat. "No, it doesn't bother me. The food is good. All we can do is pray for the people."

"I like this place," said customer Eric Kotulak. "It's not going to stop me. It could happen anywhere."

Restaurant employees were offered counseling and were paid while the store was shut down.

On Monday, workers from other area Cracker Barrel restaurants came to the Brooklyn store and made lunch for the stores employees and their families.
