BR Walls project nearing goal, needs help

An effort to paint murals on the sides of bare buildings in downtown Baton Rouge is nearing its fundraising goal.   However, organizers say they are still short of the mark they need to meet by this Thursday or risk losing funding.

Todd Graves, founder of Raising Cane's, says he'll fully fund the painting of one downtown wall as part of the project if the group's online fundraising goal of $25,000 is met by Thursday's deadline.

"We are thrilled to see such an exciting project come to life in our hometown," says Graves in a news release. "Artists, community leaders and businesses are working together to beautify Baton Rouge, and the crew at Cane's is proud to be a part of that progress."
