LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Expect to stop and go downtown Louisville Thursday. More than 7,000 visitors are coming and going to the KFC Yum! Center.
Together for the Gospel, a Christian leadership conference, continues until late Thursday evening.
Louisville Metro Police are asking motorists to avoid the intersections of 3rd & Market and 3rd & Main. Those are intersections where traffic control officers are directing the large crowd and it's where police expects delays.
A few visitors WAVE 3 spoke with said it's been a pleasant experience.
"They've served us really well," Andrew Sherwood said. "We've got seven to eight thousand men and women here for the conference and they've done a great job getting us where we need to go safely."
Most the of the visitors will be walking, so LMPD's Traffic Control unit will be on site at both intersections.
