Tigers outlast Alcorn State, 7-2

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Joe Broussard ran his record to 4-0 with his longest outing of the season, and Jordy Snikeris hit the first home run of his LSU career, as the No.3 Tigers outlasted Alcorn State 7-2 at Alex Box Stadium Tuesday night.

Broussard worked into the seventh inning, striking out eight and allowing just two earned runs to earn the victory. Four relievers finished off a combined six-hitter for LSU (26-7), while Ty Ross and Tyler Moore each had two RBI in the victory over Alcorn (7-26), which was making its second visit to Alex Box Stadium this season.

The Tigers won the first meeting February 18 by a 19-0 score.
