It's official. The grand opening for the new North Boulevard Town Square took place Tuesday at noon in downtown Baton Rouge.
Mayor Kip Holden, city council members, officials from the Downtown Development District, and other business and community leaders participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony as a big crowd looked on. Free refreshments were served.
Many say they were impressed with the new facility and look forward to attending events there.
The Spring "Live after Five'" free concert series returns to the Town Square on Friday, April 13. The Blue Fest will also be held there on Saturday, April 14.
