BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Star- Telegram, a Texas newspaper, citing a source in the TCU Athletic Department says that Trent Johnson is leaving LSU and will be introduced Monday in Fort Worth.
LSU officials have not released a statement on Johnson's status with its program.
This comes after ESPN.com reported that Trent Johnson will likely be named TCU's head basketball coach, possibly by early next week.
CBSSports.com reported earlier this morning that Trent Johnson had emerged as the leading candidate at TCU.
College basketball insider Jeff Goodman said sources told CBSSports.com TCU athletic director Chris Del Conte had targeted Johnson. Click here for more
Johnson has coached four years at LSU, where he was 58-59 and took the Tigers to the NCAA tournament in his first season.
The Tigers are coming off an 18-14 season and an NIT appearance after finishing eighth in the SEC.
