Raising Cain's employee arrested after armed robbery

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Police are saying a Raising Cane's employee is now behind bars after she admitted to unlocking and opening the door to the business so two men could rob it.

The armed robbery happened Friday just before Noon at the Raising Cane's on Government Street and Foster. Two men entered the restaurant, one was holding a gun. One of the men demanded money. The suspects grabbed the money and fled the scene in an older model gold Dodge Neon.

Shakeria Vanecia Clay was arrested after security video did not match her initial statement to police. During a second interview, she admitted to knowing the suspects and letting them into the business.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 5'7", medium build, last seen wearing a red baseball cap, red long sleeve shirt and red pants.

The second suspect is described as a black male, 5'7", medium build wearing a black long sleeve shirt, black pants with a black book sack.

No one was injured during the robbery.
