PORT ALLEN, LA (WAFB) - The Louisiana State Police said a Florida man died in a multi-vehicle crash on I-10 in Port Allen on Wednesday.
Troopers identified him as Clinton Mabry, 39, of Gulf Breeze, FL.
They said he was driving the wrong way on I-10 West near LA 415 when his car collided nearly head-on with another car around 5:30 p.m.
Investigators reported after Mabry's 1989 Pontiac Grand Am slammed into the 2005 Chevrolet Malibu it crossed into the second lane and hit a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe.
Mabry was taken to Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center, where he later died.
A passenger in his car and the drivers of the two other vehicles were taken to Baton Rouge General.
Their injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Troopers said they suspect Mabry may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, but they weren't able to get a blood sample from him because of his injuries.
