Tornado rips through Prairieville

At least one confirmed tornado caused heavy damage in some Prairieville neighborhoods Wednesday morning. Several homes were destroyed. More

Snapped trees, splintered wood and power lines covered rural neighborhoods in Livingston Parish. Some people said they woke up to the sounds of a roaring train. More

Damage reports from Wednesday morning's storm came in from across the area, including one stretch of road where neighbors said they almost saw pigs fly. More

With BRPD working hundreds of cold cases since the 1960s, detectives are now attempting to start closing many of those files with the addition of the cold case unit. More

Bernard Taylor toured schools and talked to the public Wednesday. He said he's looking for an opportunity to serve a community that wants all of its children to be successful. More

Authorities said a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction on I-10 crashed head-on with another vehicle Wednesday evening. Five people were injured in the wreck. More

Deputies said a man wearing a Mardi Gras mask and carrying a gun walked into a bank, jumped the counter and demanded money. He ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash. More
