Mayor's Youth Job Fair held for summer employment program

Mayor Mark Mallory's Youth Job Fair was held on Thursday at the Duke Convention Center.

The job fair was part of the City's Summer Youth Employment Program. The program is partnering with 44 local companies to employ about 270 kids ages 14 to 18.

Participants will take part in an eight-week program, with summer jobs at local businesses and non-profit organizations.

This year, the Urban League of Greater Cincinnati was chosen to administer the city's summer job program, partnering with four other local agencies to place youth with employers.

Each person hired will be paid more than $1,200 for their eight-week summer employment.

Those interested should contact the Urban League for details on how to apply.
