SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

An RV engulfed in flames had traffic on Interstate 20 at a stand still, Tuesday afternoon.

DPS officials tell KLTV that both westbound lanes were closed, leaving traffic at a complete stop for nearly two hours, near the exit for CR 424. The exit for CR 424 is west of Hwy 110, east of Van.

Officials say the couple in the RV noticed that the tire pressure monitoring system light came on, then multiple people began honking, and the couple pulled over.

Several passing motorists also pulled over to assist the couple as they detached the Jeep that was in tow behind the RV.

At this time, the cause of the fire is unknown.

No one was injured.
