Nearly naked man wearing only a bath towel robbed at gunpoint

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

An armed robber burst into a southeast Atlanta home and held one resident at gunpoint right after he stepped out of the shower wearing only a towel.

The crook took off with two laptop computers. It happened Tuesday on Piper Circle in DeKalb County.

This wasn't the first time robbers took off with electronics. The people living at the home said the same thing happened five weeks ago, and they feel they're being targeted.

"We're scared to open the windows at this point when me and my girlfriend are home alone," said Elizabeth, one of the roommates.

"What neighborhood is so bad that this just flies?" asked another roommate, Frank.

They are so afraid of retaliation that they've asked CBS Atlanta News to conceal their identities.

Frank said an armed robber walked right through the back door and held him at gunpoint while he was wearing only a towel. He'd just walked out of the shower.

"I'm sitting there holding my electric toothbrush thinking, 'Should I throw this or something?'" asked Frank.

Surveillance cameras caught the crook taking off with expensive electronics.

"Twice in just almost over a month. That can't be coincidence at this point," Frank said.

Warning signs and video cameras surround the home, but the crooks came back anyway.

"People know him. People know what's going on and it's endorsed by people who know what's going on," complained Frank. "You've got to have a place to go with a sack full of laptops and it's probably not far from here."

"Is somebody watching me? Are they going to jump and surprise me from behind?" worried Elizabeth.

The roommates hope someone who reads their story knows who's targeting them.

If you hear someone bragging about holding up a man in a towel, call Atlanta police.
