BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - If you're planning to go to an LSU football game you should plan to pay more to park and in different spaces.
More parking spots will also be reserved for season ticket holders to buy. Thomas Body Hall was open to the public last season, but this year it will be a season ticket holder lot. So will the Maddox field house lot. Handicapped season ticket holders will now park at the new Alex Box stadium lot.
"We'd have to turn patrons away to our free public parking which is grass, gravel parking...not really accessible. This is a paved parking lot. We'll have a shuttle where each one of the shuttles will have a wheel chair accessibility ramp for it, which is much more compliant with ADA rules and compliance," said LSU athletic parking director Adam Smith.
The new costs to park in these lots range from $75 to $100 per game for cars and $250 to $500 per game for RV parking. Smith tells us these changes will make game day traffic flow better and keep ticket prices from increasing.
