BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The mother of the 22-year-old man who died after getting beaten and robbed last week said his organs were donated.
Gunnar Williamson's mother said she kept her son on life support as long as she did so his organs could be harvested.
Funeral arrangements are being set and the family has set up a bank account in his name at Chase Bank to help with expenses.
Williams was found on the side of Bob Pettit Road in Tigerland early Thursday morning.
He had been beaten and robbed.
The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating the case.
