Teen killed in Iberville Parish crash

MARINGOUIN, LA (WAFB) -

A Maringouin woman was killed Friday morning in a crash on LA-411.

State Police say Courtlyn Bonaventure, 19, was driving south around 9:15 when she lost control of her Chevy Cobalt on a curve.  Her car spun as it went into the northbound lane and was hit by a Cadillac DTS.

Bonaventure was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of the Cadillac was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Troopers do not believe either driver was impaired at the time of the crash.
