BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Convicted south Louisiana serial killer Derrick Todd Lee went before a judge in West Baton Rouge judge Thursday morning.
Lee's attorneys requested all raw materials from the three crime labs that had access to his sketch in St. Martin Parish.
The artist penciled the drawing from a description of Lee given by Diane Alexander, the woman who testified she was attacked by Lee in her Breaux Bridge home.
Judge Robin Free quashed the subpoena stating the three crime labs, including LSP, Acadiana, and Orchid Cellmark, are not required by law to keep raw materials once they are analyzed.
Lee's attorneys plan to appeal.
