SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Ark-La-Tex residents lined the streets throwing confetti as Oscar winners William Joyce, Brandon Oldenberg, and the rest of the team from Moonbot studios paraded down Texas street in Downtown Shreveport.

The parade honored Moonbot after their project "The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore" won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film.

Several spectators showed up in costumes.  Some people dressed as Moonbots and others as Morris Lessmore.

After the parade Joyce said, "It was like a cartoon come to life.  It was really, really fun, like something happening in a dream."

"It's right out of one of those old films where the team comes home after winning the big game and everybody is there," added Oldenberg.
