Meanwhile, Baton Rouge Police are asking for help catching a murderer. They say someone shot Jeremy Stewart, 25, and left him for dead on Columbus Dunn Drive, in the Gus Young Neighborhood.
It started out as a project to replace the old wood pile bridge which wrapped up in the fall of 2011, but workers are back putting up road closed signs again. Starting tomorrow, Lovett Road in Central will be back under construction because DOTD says when they inspected the work, they found problems. A Contact 9 update involving the construction of Powerhouse Gym on South Sherwood Boulevard. At last check, members who signed up before the start of the year were still waiting on the gym to open and feared that it would not happen. As WAFB's Lauren Westbook shows us, now more people are coming forward and the clock keeps ticking; nearly two months after they were promised a grand opening.
