BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The family of a former running back at Clinton High and Southern University who was killed over the weekend has set up a fund in his name.
A benefit fund in the name of Silas Gibbs has been set up at Capital One Bank.
Gibbs left behind an infant daughter.
The 24-year-old was found shot to death in the passenger seat of a car on I-110 early Saturday morning.
The Baton Rouge Police Department reported Walter Fort, 22, is suspected of killing Gibbs.
Fort is wanted on second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon charges.
Detectives think Fort shot Gibbs while the two were riding in the vehicle.
