Stolen $25,000 trailer cut up, sold for $500

HOLDEN, LA (WAFB) -

Four men have been arrested for stealing a 28-foot trailer, then cutting it up and selling it for scrap.

Investigators say the contractor's trailer was stolen February 1st while it was parked overnight near Holden. 

According to reports, Larry Theriot, 26, Darren Blount, 45, Jason Wadsworth, 27, and Glenn Sullivan Jr., 23, cut the $25,000 trailer into pieces and sold them at scrap yards for $500.

Authorities were able to recover the trailer's axles, rims and tires.

Theriot, Wadsworth and Sullivan have been charged with felony theft.  Blount has been charged with possession of stolen things and felony accessory to theft.

All four men are out on bond.
