ST. FRANCISVILLE, LA (WAFB) -

The family of a missing man drove four hours Tuesday to speak with law enforcement officials about his disappearance.

"It's like a nightmare and we're waiting to wake up from it, for it to be over. We miss him really bad," Thornhill's sister, Mindy Roberts said.

The West Feliciana Parish Sheriff's Office is asking for help in finding him. Thornhill has been missing for three weeks.

Deputies hope surveillance video will help find him. Video from the Magnuson Hotel in St. Francisville shows Thornhill checking into the hotel the morning of Jan. 23.

St. Francisville Police report they arrested Shaun Thornhill for public drunkenness on Friday, Jan 20. He bonded out and checked back into The Magnuson Hotel on Sunday. He was last seen on Monday.

Detectives say he checked in three times that weekend. Relatives believe he was in the area looking for a job.

His truck was later found just south of Natchez, Mississippi.

"The vehicle was locked, secured. It wasn't broken into. It's almost as if it was parked, undisturbed and left. That's odd," St. Francisville Police Chief Scott Ford said.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Thornhill, you are urged to call CrimeStoppers at 344-STOP (7867).

Anyone that may be able to help deputies find Thornhill is asked to call the West Feliciana Parish Sheriff's Office at 784-3136.
