I-12 backup causes headaches and delays

A 4-year-old was shot and killed in his Baton Rouge home this morning, and police are still trying to figure out what exactly happened. Police still do not know if the shooting was accidental or not.

Interstate 12 is still backed up from this morning's semi accident. Some drivers want more warning when this happens.

The young man accused of paralyzing Thomas Loupe, the son of a Metro Councilman, with a gunshot will remain in jail. Thomas is the son of Baton Rouge Council Member Chandler Loupe. According to police, he was shot in what started as a drug deal last Friday.

Residents in one West Baton Rouge neighborhood are overjoyed after transportation officials announced they are putting in a traffic light at a dangerous intersection.

Our run of nice weather continues on Thursday. Temps will be slightly cooler in the wake of a front that pushed through Wednesday morning, with lows in the lower 40°s and highs in the lower 60°s. Clouds increase on Friday and while we can't rule out a spotty shower, the day should be mainly dry.

The Dow Jones industrial average finished six points higher Wednesday at 12,884. It was down as much as 60 points at midday.The Standard & Poor's 500 index edged up three to 1,350. The Nasdaq composite rose 12 points to 2,916.
