BAKER, LA (WAFB) -

Three people have been charged in connection with a rare murder in Baker.

The Baker Police Department said two of the suspects are in custody and officers are searching for the third.

Chief Mike Knaps said Kaitlan Brandon, Terry Jones and Demarcus York were all tied to the shooting death of Aberlardo Pampo, 43.

Detectives said Jones was the triggerman in the armed robbery that happened this summer at the Baker Little League Park. DNA connected York to the scene.

"No doubt about it," Knaps explained. "These people are cold-hearted and intended the whole time they were targeting this suspect specifically to rob him, violate him and do harm to him."

Knaps added Kaitlin Brandon is the suspect still at large.

Detectives reported she is known to hang out in the north Baton Rouge, Gardere and Kingston neighborhoods.

If you know where she is, you are urged to call Crime Stoppers at 225-344-7867.
