AUBURN, AL (WTVM) – There is a developing story about the historic oaks at Toomer's Corner.
The Future of Rolling Toomer's Corner committee met Tuesday regarding what should be done to the poisoned Toomer's oaks.
According to the Auburn Plainsman newspaper, they unanimously voted to recommend that the oaks be replaced with one or two large, live trees.
Auburn University's president will make the final decision.
