PLAQUEMINE, LA (WAFB) -
Two people were killed and another was badly injured in a utility vehicle crash early Sunday morning.
It happened on LA 75 (Belleview Drive) near Milly Plantation Road in Plaquemine just after 3 a.m.
The Louisiana State Police said Brooklyn Landry, 18, and Brendan Landry, 27, were pronounced dead at the scene by the Iberville Parish Coroner's Office.
The driver, Matthew Verret, 25, was taken to a Baton Rouge hospital.
At last check, he was listed in serious condition.
All three men are from Plaquemine.
Troopers said Verret was driving a 2010 Polaris Ranger 800 when he missed the driveway he was trying to turn into and plowed into a ditch.
Investigators said the three did not have on seat belts at the time of the accident.
The wreck is still being investigated.
