LORANGER, LA (WAFB) -

A woman faces several charges after allegedly trying to set a car on fire and getting combative after being handcuffed Thursday.

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office said Stacy Badeaux, 34, of Albany is accused of trying to burn a vehicle in Loranger.

Deputies said a homeowner reported hearing noises outside and went to check it out.

Detectives reported the resident said Badeaux was taking items from the vehicle and putting them on the floor board.

She then allegedly set those items on fire.

The TPSO was called and Badeaux reportedly ran off when she saw the deputies drive up.

She was quickly arrested, but officials said she started kicking, screaming profanities and trying to get out of the cuffs.

She was booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on the following charges:

Simple arson

Resisting an officer by force

Resisting arrest

Public intimidation

Simple escape

Disturbing the peace

Authorities did not release any information about bond.
