A teen girl and her two sisters told police they were robbed by two masked men. She said one of them ransacked the home and the other put a gun to their heads. More

ATLANTA (AP) - LSU cornerback Tyrann Mathieu has been named the top defensive player on The Associated Press All-Southeastern Conference team. Also, Les Miles has been named a finalist for national coach of the year after he guided the top-ranked Tigers to a spot in the national championship game.

METAIRIE, LA (AP) - The way the New Orleans Saints have played the last few weeks has been reminiscent of New Orleans' Super Bowl run in 2009. The Saints are on a four-game winning streak and are two games clear in the NFC South with just four games to play.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - BP in a high-stakes court filing is accusing Halliburton of destroying damaging evidence about the quality of its cement slurry that went into drilling the oil well that blew out last year and caused the nation's worst offshore oil spill. BP has accused Halliburton of having intentionally destroyed evidence.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Lawyers for "Occupy New Orleans" are suing to block the city from evicting the protesters from a park across from City Hall. A lawsuit filed Monday on behalf of the protesters asks a federal judge to issue a temporary restraining order and injunction that would allow them to continue their occupation.

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama is traveling to small-town Kansas Tuesday to talk about the need for economic fairness for the nation's middle class. Osawatomie, KS is where President Theodore Roosevelt delivered his "New Nationalism" address in 1910 that called for a "square deal" for regular Americans.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Transportation officials say they're in "discussions with legal counsel" about FAA Administration Randy Babbitt's employment status. Babbitt was placed on a leave of absence after he was charged over the weekend with driving drunk.

PASADENA, CA (AP) - Southern California residents are struggling to clean up millions of dollars in damage from one of the region's worst windstorms in years. Thousands of people are still without electricity, several days after winds close to 100 mph ripped through foothill communities along the San Gabriel Mountains just east of Los Angeles.

ISLAMABAD (AP) - U.S. military officials say Islamabad is pulling its troops out of at least two centers meant to coordinate military activity across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. US officials say that threatens the exchange of information about ongoing operations. The move comes a little more than a week after NATO airstrikes killed 24 Pakistani soldiers at two army posts along the border.
