BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The 15-year-old boy accused to shooting and killing a 16-year-old made his first court appearance in the case Monday.
A detention hearing for the teen was held in a Baton Rouge juvenile courtroom.
The hearing will be continued Jan. 4.
The suspect remains in jail.
Because he is a minor, his name has not been released by authorities.
Daylon Wheeler was gunned down Friday on North Buttonwood Drive in the Glen Oaks area.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office said an ongoing feud led up to the shooting.
The teen suspected of shooting Wheeler faces charges of first-degree murder and armed robbery.
Deputies said the boy shot Wheeler and then stole a bag of marijuana from him.
