Mitchell talks loss to UAPB, not brawl afterwards

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Southern University head football coach Stump Mitchell will address the media Tuesday afternoon, but he won't be talking about the fight after Saturday night's game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

However, Mitchell will answer questions about the last-second loss to the Golden Lions.

The Jags scored a late touchdown, but a blocked PAT ended the game 22-21.

University officials said Mitchell will not make any comments about the brawl that occurred after the game until the investigation into the incident is complete.

They added players will not be available for interviews Tuesday.
