The LSU Tigers held strong to their undefeated record, moving up to 7-0 on the season after beating the Tennessee Volunteers 38-7 in Knoxville on Saturday.
The Vols took the field without six of their starters, including quarterback Tyler Bray.
Backup QB Matt Simms made his first start of the season for Tennessee. He threw two interceptions and completed only six of his 20 passes for 128 yards.
The No. 1 Tigers, on the other hand, continued its dual-quarterback attack. Jarrett Lee threw two touchdown passes, while Jordan Jefferson ran for one.
Lee finished with 10 completions on 14 attempts for 115 yards. Jefferson chipped in 73 yards on the ground on 14 carries.
Spencer Ware scored twice in the game. He ran for one and caught another. Lee's other TD pass went to Reuben Randle from five yards out.
The score was set up by an 89-yard interception return by Morris Claiborne. Eric Reid picked off another pass by Simms.
LSU finished with 260 yards on the ground against the Tennessee's defense. In addition to Jordan and Ware, Michael Ford and Russell Shepard ran for scores.
The 31-point win marked the seventh straight double-digit margin of victory for LSU this season.
