Scott Rolen (Source: reds.com)Cincinnati Reds 3rd baseman Scott Rolen is expected to miss 4-6 weeks after surgery was performed on his shoulder Wednesday.
Reds officials say Rolen had arthroscopic surgery to remove bone spurs and fragments from the acromioclavicular joint in his left shoulder. Doctors say the procedure was successful and they expect a full recovery.
Rolen has been on the disabled list since July 22nd due to shoulder pain. Before being placed on the DL, Rolen was hitting .242 with five home runs and 36 RBI, and played for the National League All Star Team.
