It's hard to believe in the next week or two, students throughout the area will be heading back to class for the start of a new school year. Parents are already getting ready, purchasing school supplies and uniforms.

But, for some in our area, buying new uniforms for their child is a hardship they simply can't afford. That's why WAFB is once again teaming up with St. Vincent de Paul to provide thousands of uniforms for children in the 12-parish area. And, we need your help.

You can drop off new or used uniforms at any Kean's Cleaners. Or, you can make a donation at Chase Bank. A simple donation of $24 will buy a child the two uniforms he or she needs to attend school.

And this year there's a new twist, visit the WAFB Facebook page and show support by "liking" the Uniforms for Kids campaign. For every "like" we receive, the Greater Baton Rouge State Fair will donate $1 to St. Vincent de Paul's uniforms campaign. After you "like" it, "share" it with friends and help us reach new heights in supporting this great cause.
