LSU officials said former baseball coach Skip Bertman went to the hospital as a precaution Wednesday, but is doing fine.
"He got overheated at Cypress Mounds," said LSU spokesman Michael Bonnette.
Bertman was cleared to go back home late Wednesday.
The coach of LSU's five national championship teams does some work with the new baseball facility located on Gardere Lane.
In addition to being a former Hall of Fame baseball coach, Bertman also served as the university's athletic director.
