HOLDEN, LA (WAFB) - A 19-year-old man is looking at the possibility of serving a long time behind bars after he was convicted of raping a 5-year-old.
Jonathan Foy of Holden faces a sentence of 25 to 99 years, according to District Attorney Scott Perrilloux.
Foy will learn his punishment on Sept. 1.
He will have to serve at least 25 years without parole.
The jury deliberated for about an hour before returning a unanimous verdict.
Foy was arrested in Feb. 2009 after the victim's mother reported the rape to the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office.
