Crawfish Turnovers by Cafe by the River

Crawfish Turnovers

  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 cups seasoning blend
  • 2 tbs. flour
  • 1# crawfish
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1-2 tbs. chopped green onions
  • Tony Chachere's to taste
  • 8-10 puff pastry squares
  • Egg wash (1 egg beat lightly)

Saute butter and seasoning blend for 5 minutes

Add flour and mix well

Add crawfish mix--add water--mix--add cream of mushroom mix add green onions mix

Add Tony Chachere's

Let simmer for 5 minutes stirring often

Place 1/4 cup crawfish mixture in the center of the puff pastry and fold over

Press edges together to seal then press edges with end of fork

Place on baking pan and brush outside with egg wash

Bake for 20-25 minutes at 400 degrees
